About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved reading. No matter where I was, I had a book with me. When it came time to choose a career path, however, I knew I disliked writing, so I dove into science (fueled, in part, by my love for CSI and Criminal Minds). Fast forward a few years, and I was working in process development at a pharmaceutical company. I always expected my career growth to be this constant, upward motion, but even though I liked what I did, I had no interest in sprouting branches—I wanted to return to my roots. I took some steps in the right direction: I got back into reading voraciously after taking a break in college. I discovered and became an active member of the bookstagram community, and also stumbled into a whole world of bookish small businesses.

I opened my own small business, A Sip of Fiction, in 2021. I started designing glassware based on fandoms I love, and quickly found a whole new side to my enthusiasm for reading. I soon began taking digital commissions, working with a variety of companies and authors on a multitude of projects, from seamless patterns for fabric to designing book covers. Throughout this period of delving back into my love of books, I’ve honed my personal skill and style as an artist, including beginning a BA (Hons) program in Graphic Design.

I truly mean it when I say your vision is my passion. I specialize in working with small businesses and independent authors who may feel overlooked by the ever-changing publishing industry. My goal is, first and foremost, to make you feel heard.
