  • Personal use licenses cover activities such as making copies for personal enjoyment, sharing within a close circle of family and friends, or using works for educational and research purposes.

  • This license is required for any situation in which the material is used for financial gain, business operations, or promotional endeavors, including but not limited to marketing, free purchase incentives, preorder campaigns, or sale of a product.

  • An exclusive license prevents any other parties from selling the commissioned work in any capacity. A non exclusive license does not prevent any other parties, including the artist, from selling the work. In both cases, the artist retains all copyright to the work.

  • Work for hire entails full transfer of copyright. This comprehensive transfer grants the new copyright owner the authority to exercise all the exclusive rights associated with the work, including reproduction, distribution, public performance, adaptation, and display. The new copyright owner may use the work in any way, whether for commercial purposes, distribution, or modification.
